New hopes, new inspirations and . . . new beginnings!

Learning to celebrate the meaning of Easter

every single day for the rest of your life.

Sunday, April 1 is Easter, and as we all prepare to look and act our best on that one day, here’s a thought. How about we spread it out and celebrate the reasons for Easter each and every day for the rest of the year?

Easter is a celebration of new hopes, new inspirations and new beginnings. It is a time when we pause and reflect on who we are, how we got to where we are, what we want to become in our journey of life  and to be thankful for all of the above. And for Christians, the hope of spiritual renewal and rebirth – no matter how bleak the landscape of our lives – is at the very center of the Christian faith.

It’s a promise that was first fulfilled more than 2,000 years ago, and one we can still count on today.

Easter is a time when we want to look our best and make sure that our best is indeed the best we can achieve. Why can’t we do that every day of the year?

With every new day and each bright and promising sunrise, we are given a blank slate to make our mark. With each new day we have another chance to live, to breathe and to exist for no other reason than to just make today a little better than yesterday.

Easter comes on the calendar only once a year, but every day can be Easter when we dare to dream for the stars, hope for the best, take action to make those things happen, rejoice in the celebration and reap the rewards of doing a job well.

Each morning we should rise to the newness of life and all the positive opportunities given to us.

Easter should be celebrated every morning when we open up our eyes and can still see the beauty and glory of the day. Easter should be celebrated every time we see our children running and playing in the house or in the yard.

Easter should be celebrated every time you look at your paycheck and realize that you’ve been blessed with another day of employment. Easter should be celebrated every time you pass by a person in need and take action to make his or her life better.

Easter is a frame of mind and if you awaken every day to the words of the old familiar song
. . . Because He lives, I can face tomorrow, because He lives all fear is gone, because I know who holds the future . . . the day will be brighter.

Be thankful for what you have; dream for what you want to achieve and rejoice every day for the opportunity to do so.

Dream it, believe in it and then expect it. Have a wonderful, blessed and happy Easter, every day, for the rest of your life.
