The revival of Seminole County’s Harvest Festival and the twelfth annual running and walking of Joyce’s Jog will be held in downtown Donalsonville, Saturday, October 20.
All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting, join the planning committee, enter the parade, or become a sponsor or vendor – call the chamber at 229-524-2588.
Registration for the Joyce’s Jog 5K and the one-mile Fun Run begins at 6:30 a.m. on the corner of Woolfork Avenue and U.S. Highway 84 in downtown Donalsonville. In addition to bringing back the Harvest theme to the festival, the event will feature an antique tractor and farm implement show and the always popular in the past recipe contest. The third Saturday in October event will also feature a variety of food and arts and crafts vendors, a parade, entertainment, a fine arts show, kids games and more. All of the area bands invited to attend the Seminole County Green Machine’s annual BandJam, to be held in the evening of October 20, are invited to be a part of the parade. Churches, individuals and groups and organizations of all sizes are invited to get into the spirit of the harvest season and place an entry in the parade.
