The Donalsonville Lions Club has a mission to serve the citizens of the Seminole County community and at this week’s weekly meeting the club was presented information about helping others in the event of cardiac arrest emergencies. South Georgia EMS Director of Operations Randy Williams and District Manger Johnny Russ demonstrated to club members the easy use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). This is a small, lightweight, battery operated, portable defibrillation device now available with easy access in schools and public buildings, airports, malls, sports arenas, health clubs, golf courses, and businesses.
Williams can be contacted to present the instructional program to groups of eight or more throughout the community. There is no charge for the course; however, there is a minimal fee for a person to become certified.
Contact Williams at 404-319-6516 to arrange an instructional session at the location of your choice.
If you are interested in joining the Donalsonville Lions Club and becoming a participant in its year-long schedule of service to the community projects, please contact the club’s membership chairman Bradley Grantham at 229-400-0388.
