Joint choir to present “Glory of Christmas” Cantata – 6 p.m. this Sunday at Friendship United Methodist Church

 

Prelude by the Tallahassee String Quartet

The combined choirs of Friendship United Methodist Church, First Presbyterian Church of Donalsonville and Colquitt United Methodist Church will present The Glory of Christmas, a Christmas Cantata by Lloyd Larson, at 6. p.m. this Sunday, December 16 at Friendship United Methodist Church in Donalsonville.

The evening will open with a prelude by the Tallahasee String Quartet.

The cantata’s director is Gene Houston and he is assisted by accompanist Genta Grow and narrators Bradley Grantham and Becky Williams.

Combined choir members include sopranos: Cindy Bowen, Savannah Bowen, Dona Burke, Mary Beth Burke, Susan Burke, Kristan Houston, Joy Jinks, Dell Shingler, Emily Starr, Jessie Lou Swanner, India Taylor, Jessica Tinney, Nicole Touchton, Becky  Williams and Karla Young; altos: Deede Barker, Ruth Breckenridge, Angie Carr, Bethany McElyea, Kate McElyea, Becky Nash, Kathy Reese, Karen Rogerson, Debbie Sloan, Jean Trice and Tammy Tully; tenors: Ronnie Burke, Robert Kikel, Larry King, Rodney Rodgers, Daniel Tinney and Foster Wurst; and bass: Bradley Grantham, Alex Jernigan, Wes Pace, Kent Richardson,  Bill Williams, Robert Young and Carey Horne.

The group preformed the cantata last Sunday in Colquitt.
