Annual Market Hog Show is this Saturday

The annual Seminole County Chamber of Commerce Market Hog Show will be held Saturday, February 16 at the Seminole County Agriculture Center located on Town and Country Road.

The weigh-in for the County Show will be from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. with the show starting at 12 or when judge arrives from judging Decatur County.

After the show there will be a fun showmanship event for children who have not begun five-year-old kindergarten.  You are responsible for asking permission to borrow a hog to show for this class.  Must be a hog that is being shown in the county show.

Then the Average Daily Gain winners will be recognized, the Sportsmanship Award will be presented and the Larry Jr. and Brent Fennell Memorial Scholarship winner will be announced.

There will be 47 4-H and FFA members competing in the show.  Show organizers are asking for donations from individuals, businesses and groups.  If you would like to be a donor for the show, call 524-2326.
