Sign up to be a Rodeo sponsor by March 1st

Mark your calendar for Friday and Saturday, March 15 and 16 and make plans to attend the Donalsonville-Seminole County Chamber of Commerce Boots and Roots Rodeo at the Chris Thomas Arena on Highway 84 east in Donalsonville.

The chamber’s mission in annually staging a quality rodeo event in Seminole County has three objectives: to provide a first class family-oriented event for the enjoyment of the citizens of Seminole County, to salute Seminole County farmers and agri-businesses and to operate as an annual fund-raising vehicle. Profits from each year’s two-day rodeo event finance future community projects of the chamber and a percentage of the profits are donated to the youth of this community – the Seminole County Green Machine Band, the 4-H, the FFA, local Scouts, the Friendship House, and a Seminole County agricultural scholarship for Seminole County High School Seniors.

The third objective goal and the amount of funds available for disbursement of the rodeo profits depends on members of the community buying sponsorships, along with ticket and vendor sales at the event. $30,000 must be raised each year from sponsorships to reach the break even point. The cost to secure the services of the rodeo company is $22,500 and it takes approximately $7,500 to market and stage the event.

As of 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 20, the following sponsors have signed on as partners with the chamber in presenting this year’s rodeo.
