Plates may be picked up at the Ag Center between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m on Thursday, April 11th

It’s Springtime  in Seminole County and that means some delicious, mouth-watering barbeque chicken will soon be available. The Donalsonville Lions Club will be holding its annual Spring Chick-A-Que, this year at the Seminole County Ag Center on Town and Country Road, today, Thursday, April 11th.

Sales are now in progress and the profits from this year’s Spring project will go into the Lions Club’s rebuilding fund and the reconstruction of its Wiley Avenue meeting hall which was completely destroyed by Hurricane Michael. Plates may be picked up at the Ag Center between 11:00  a.m. and 2:00 p.m.  Cost of the plates is $10.00 each. Tickets may be purchased from any Lions Club member or at the Donalsonville-Seminole County Chamber of Commerce office  or you may purchase a plate at the event on April 11.

The Donalsonville Fire Department has inspected the building and  has determined it to be uninhabitable. Engineers from the insurance company with coverage on the building will present the club with its findings within the next week. After that, the club will make a decision of the building’s future and announce plans for the redesign and rebuilding of the facility.
