Donalsonville Firefighters Kolby Bush and Zach Morris recently completed the education and training requirements needed to become a Georgia State Certified Firefighter.

This training consists of classroom work and physical objectives. Once these objectives were completed, each firefighter had to pass a written test and a skills test. By law, Georgia career firefighters have twelve months from the day they begin the job to meet these requirements and must receive a minimum twenty-four hours of training per year thereafter to keep their certification.
