The Seminole County High School boys and girls golf teams completed another successful season by finishing fifth place overall in GHSA state competition on Monday and Tuesday. The boys team carded a two day total of 716 to capture the top 5 finish. Jay Palmer led the Indians with rounds of 87 and 85. The Lady Indians also captured a top 5 finish this year, led by Macy Williams who shot 94 and 83 to place the lady’s team.
Indians Coach Kevin Godwin was very proud of his teams’ performance. “Both teams battled hard and a top 5 in the state is something to be proud of.” Godwin also had high praise for the season that both teams had. “I’m so proud of both teams. They have represented our school and community with class and character all season.”
Godwin also wanted to thank all parents, friends and supporters of the golf teams this season. “Our support has been tremendous this year. Our golfers and I are truly blessed to have such great support from wonderful golf parents.”
