The Georgia Department of Labor is partnering with the Georgia Federal State Inspection Service for an upcoming job fair to be held on July 16 at the Donalsonville-Seminole County Chamber of Commerce. The event, to be held at the chamber’s office located at 122 E. 2nd St., Donalsonville, will begin at 10 a.m. and run through 2 p.m.
Georgia Federal State Inspection Service representatives will be looking to fill temporary peanut inspector and temporary inspector aide positions. Applicants are required to bring their résumés, driver’s licenses and all are encouraged to dress business casual to improve their chances to be hired.
Temporary peanut inspector applicants must be at least 18, must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license to work at various locations and must have a high school diploma or GED. The position offers a competitive salary, travel compensation and requires a 40+ hour work week with overtime and weekend work.
Temporary inspector aide applicants must be at least 18 and be prepared for occasional outdoor work while exposed to inclement weather and periodically climbing to a height of 25 feet to operate equipment. The position requires a 40+ hour work week with overtime and weekend work.
