As you all know, The Donalsonville-Seminole County Chamber of Commerce made the decision to change the name of the community’s annual festival back to the Harvest Festival last year; however the Festival had to be cancelled due to Hurricane Michael. So, this year, the Harvest Festival name and all the fun the event is known for returns on Saturday, October 19th. Events for the day will kick off with the Rejoice Run & Mom’s Mile beginning at 7:30 a.m. Following the races will be the annual Harvest Festival parade at 11 a.m. This year’s parade will also be broadcast live eon radio station 101.9. Along with local entertainment, we will have the Caliber Band and Zane Whittaker performing.
Also, back by popular demand, is the famous recipe contest, as well as the antique car and tractor shows. The chamber is making plans for a great festival this year with great food, arts and craft vendors, a fine arts show, children’s activities, and great local entertainment.
Sign-up forms for all events can be picked up at the Chamber. If you are interested in participating in the parade call Brandi Burkett at 229-400-8597. To sign up for the antique tractor show call Kevin Burkett at 334-435-3138. For additional information or to sign on as a sponsor call the Chamber at 229-524-2588.
