James, “Jim” Glass, President of Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) is scheduled to speak to the Donalsonville Lions Club on Tuesday, September 3. Glass plans to give an update on SRTC’s plans and goals for educational opportunities for students of all ages at the college’s Donalsonville and Bainbridge instructional sites. The Donalsonville Lions meet in the fellowship hall of the First Presbyterian Church of Donalsonville. The lunch meeting begins at noon and the public is invited to attend.
Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) Commissioner Matt Arthur appointed Southern Regional Technical College Provost Glass, the new president to lead SRTC in June.
Before his appointment as President, Glass has worked for Southern Regional Technical College for four years since merging with Moultrie Technical College in 2015 where he worked since 2003. Glass began his postsecondary career as Director of Instruction for Albany Technical College in 1999. Prior to his leadership roles at Georgia technical colleges, Glass spent 13 years in secondary education as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal in Albany.
