Seminole’s Got Talent returns October 19

Auditions are scheduled for September 30th at 6 p.m. 

Seminole County Family Connection in collaboration with the Downtown Development Authority is excited to announce they are hosting the second installment of the Seminole’s Got Talent Show. Elementary and middle/high students will preform on October 19th at 6 p.m. on the stage of the Olive Theatre in downtown Donalsonville. Flyers were sent home with elementary school students and flyers are available in the front office of the middle/ high school.  This year participants will fill out forms online and there are two ways to register. With a smart phone you can scan the QR code that is on the flyer and pictured at right,  or go to the website www.seminole.gafcp.org to register. The deadline to register is September 23rd. This is planned to be a fun event that will allow students to share their special talents with their peers and community. Non-musical acts are welcomed and highly encouraged. The show is open to students in grades Pre-K- twelfth grade. Soloists and groups up to six students are eligible. Students may preform only one act and each student must attend auditions on September 30th. If selected, participants will pay the $10 registration fee and write a short intro/bio to be used when introduced.

Lyrics, costumes, and performances should all be compliant with a family atmosphere and all audiences. Music and performances will be screened for appropriateness. All acts will be limited to two minutes maximum time, and all equipment for the student’s acts must be provided by the student. If your act requires accompanying music, the music must be: Provided to the Talent Show Committee at the time of the auditions, brought to the audition on a CD labeled with the student’s name, song name, and artist/composer, edited to be no longer than two minutes in length, recorded as a MP3. If you are singing you must provide a copy of the lyrics at your audition.

The Seminole’s Got Talent audition committee reserves the right to censor song lyrics, as they should be appropriate for a setting for all ages. For audition, dress rehearsal, and the live show singing acts must use the karaoke version of the song. Auditions, dress rehearsal, and the live show will all be held at Olive Theatre. Music, props, and costumes must be ready at auditions. Piano, mic and sound system will be provided.

Auditions are scheduled for September 30th at 6 p.m. Dress Rehearsal will be October 14th at 5:30 p.m. The live show will be October 19th at 6 p.m.. All performances will take place at Olive Theatre.
