The Southwest Georgia Invitational Cattle Show will be held this Saturday, September 14 at the Seminole County Agricultural Center on Town & Country Road in Donalsonville. Check-in for all cattle show exhibitors will be held from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. The show will begin with showmanship at 10:00 a.m.
For the past two years the show has grown in participation, and this year’s show appears to be on course to break yet another record in attendance. Registration information indicates approximate numbers of sixty 4-H and FFA students that will be exhibiting around 70 heifers and 40 steers in this year’s show. The show will be many of these exhibitors’ first time showing their animals this show season. Georgia, Florida and Alabama exhibitors are registered to participate in the event.
The Seminole County Young Farmers are proud to sponsor the tri-state event that gives these young exhibitors an opportunity to work on showmanship skills and expose their animals to the show ring. Everyone is encouraged to attend the show on Saturday and support the efforts of all of these students. Breakfast items, snacks and lunch will be available at our concession stand.
