Indians’ cross country team wins Region 1-A

The Seminole Co. varsity boys took first place overall and were crowned Region 1-A champions this past Tuesday in Camilla. The boys edged out second place Baconton Charter by three points to take home the first place hardware.

The Indians were led by Senior Larry King, who finished Region runner-up with a strong second place finish. The Indians placed two more inside the top 10 as Senior Terryan Bryant finished eighth overall and Sophmore Baylor Williams finished tenth.

The Indians will now compete in the area championship this Thursday in Americus for the right to get to the GHSA state competition in Carrollton.

Macy Batchelor, Larry King earn top honors at Region meet

Seminole runner Macy Batchelor was the Region 1-A individual champion in the girls meet on Tuesday in Camilla. Batchelor, a Junior, blew away the field to claim the title with a stellar time of 24.57. Senior Larry King was Region runner-up in the boys race. Both look to continue their success at the area meet in Americus.
