Maggie Miller represented Donalsonville in the Little Miss National Peanut Festival Pageant on Saturday, October 12, at the Dothan Civic Center. She competed with 45 other contestants from Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. Maggie made the pageant’s Top Ten and also made Top Five in Stage Presence.
Many contestants stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Dothan where the girls had fun decorating their hotel doors and rooms. Maggie got to ride in a limousine Thursday night and have pictures taken with a few peanut statues throughout Dothan.
On Saturday morning, the contestants participated in an interview with the judges. Saturday night, they competed with on stage competition. The Top Ten contestants were asked the on-stage question, “If you could spend $100, what would you buy and why?” Maggie’s answer was, “I would buy a cat because they are so sweet. Thank you!”
Maggie said she had a wonderful experience meeting many new friends and getting to compete in the pageant. Her goal was to make Top Ten, and she exceeded her goal by also making Top Five Stage Presence.
Congratulations, Maggie. Thanks for making all of Seminole County so very proud!
Maggie is a seven-year-old second grade student at Southwest Georgia Academy and is the daughter of Jessica and Joey Miller.
