Georgia HEART finishes strong in 2019

Support Donalsonville Hospital through the Georgia HEART
tax credit program at

Georgia HEART Hospital Program, LLC, is pleased to announce that, as of December 12, 2019, Georgia taxpayers have applied for $41.1 million of the $60 million of rural hospital organization (“RHO”) credits available in 2019. Thus far, in 2019, 3,628 taxpayers from throughout Georgia have contributed $32.6 million to the rural hospitals participating in the Program.
Donalsonville Hospital has seen substantial Georgia Heart contributions from our local community members and businesses as well as people from throughout the state who care about the challenges in rural healthcare. However, we continue to need your financial support as we reach the end of the tax year.  Funds raised through this program help offset our costs of adding hospital services, improving our facilities and infrastructures and acquiring new technology.
December is the perfect time to “take HEART!” While you are finalizing your year-end giving and tax planning, please consider participating in the HEART tax credit program. Once you apply and are approved by the Georgia Department of Revenue, you will make payment by December 31, 2019.
You will then be able to quickly claim that amount as a tax credit – and recoup your investment in our hospital (e.g., through receiving a refund) – when you file your 2019 Georgia return early next year. This means there is very little time during which you are “out-of-pocket” and the impact you can make with no cost to you is immeasurable.
