As of Tuesday, February 25, Seminole County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is back in operation in the Lake Seminole area. A fully-staffed EMS unit is now stationed at Spring Creek VFD from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. daily and will remain there until a new facility is constructed.
Seminole County Manager Paula Granger commented, “We are very grateful to SCVFD for offering their community room to house EMS and helping us reinstate our EMS presence in this area of the county. Hurricane Michael completely destroyed the substation on October 10, 2018. Plans are currently being developed for the new facility and property acquisition is being discussed.”
