Even after a very emotional and successful Senior Appreciation drive through and virtual graduation ceremony last Friday, Seminole County Seniors and their families are likely pleased with the news that a time and a plan has been developed to congregate for an in-person graduation ceremony at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 26. The event will be held at the school’s gymnasium and the doors will open at 6. p.m.
For safety reasons, the in person ceremony on June 26 will include the following precautions. Honor graduates will not be able to sit on stage during the ceremony because there is not enough room with over 40 Honor Graduates in a class of under 100 graduates.
People attending the ceremony will place their ticket in a box and not hand it to the person standing at the table.
Attendees will sit staggered as a group in the stands to follow social distancing guidelines. Family members will sit together in positioned seating in order to have appropriately safe distancing.
Everyone attending the live graduation ceremony will need to disperse immediately following the graduation so that people do not congregate.
Those who cannot attend the graduation can watch the graduation live on SCMHS Tribal News Facebook live.
The practice date and time for
Seniors participating in the June 26 in person ceremony will be at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, June 26 at the school’s gymnasium.
On Friday, May 22nd at the drive-through appreciation event, each graduating Senior was to receive six in person ceremony tickets for their family.
