This year’s annual meeting of the Three Notch Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) will be held Saturday, October 10. However, because of COVID-19 social distancing and safety precautions, the meeting, to be held in the Seminole County Middle High School parking lot, will follow a drive-in format. Registration for the 10 a.m. meeting will begin at 7:30 a.m.
Members attending the meeting will be required to remain in their vehicles at all times for the duration of the meeting and listen to the morning’s scheduled events on their vehicle’s FM radio on station FM 87.9. Musical entertainment will be broadcast beginning at 9 a.m. and the business session of the meeting will be called to order at 10 a.m.
All entrances to the school will be closed except the south entrance on Highway 39. Once members arrive at the school, beginning at 7:30 a.m., attendees will be directed by EMC personnel to their registration area, and after registration, directed to their parking space.
All attending members will receive a door prize at registration, and they will also register for one of the event’s grand prize – one of eighty $50 bill credits, to be given away at the end of the meeting.
EMC General Manager Carlton Thomas commented, “We look forward to welcoming all of our members to our annual meeting on the 10th. Out of concern for the health and safety of our members and our employees, we feel this format will provide the best way for all of us to meet, conduct our business, enjoy ourselves, and remain safe. See you on Saturday, October 10.”
