Argument leads to Plain St. shooting

On October 12th, about 11:56 p.m., the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) was requested to assist the Donalsonville Police Department with a shooting that took place at 421 Plain Street in Donalsonville.

GBI agents and police officers determined that an earlier argument led to the shooting that took place with a visitor at the residence.  Three vehicles travelled to the residence to confront a male, who one of the individuals arrested was arguing with earlier.  One of the residents attempted to diffuse the situation which ended up with shots being exchanged with the occupants of the vehicles and persons at the residence.

One male was shot multiple times and transported to an area hospital where he remains after several surgeries for his wounds suffered from the shooting.  Three vehicles that arrived at the residence were also struck by gunfire.  Two males have been arrested thus far regarding this case and have been charged with one count of aggravated assault, aggravated battery and four counts of cruelty to children in the third degree.  Additional arrests are expected in this case.

Charged and arrested were Trayvion Grigley of Donalsonville and Kanazawa Austin of Jakin. Seminole County Deputies located the car and arrested the above two males immediately after the shooting took place when they spotted the car the men were in.

This case is active and ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the GBI at 229-225-4090 or the Donalsonville Police Department at 229-524-2175.
