County-wide clean up program in the works

If you have traveled down a street or roadway in Seminole County recently it is evident, from trash and debris scattered on both sides of the road, that Seminole County needs to clean up its act. Project Beautification 2023 is being developed to inspire all local citizens to do just that by working together to clean up and green up public and private areas – county wide.

From county line to state line, the two-year project being developed in cooperation with local governments, organizations, businesses and private citizens plans to have free trash dump and pick up days, and scheduled clean up days for all areas of the city and county. Details and plans are still in the works and will be announced as soon as they are set.

In the mean time, the project’s Adopt A Mile program is now accepting participants from any group, church, organization, business or individual wishing to participate by adopting a mile in the city or county and pledging to pick up the trash and keep your adopted mile green and clean.

If you or your organization would like to adopt a mile in the Project Beautification 2023 program, contact Virginia Harrison at 229-400-3772.
