Ausleys and Cofty are the big winners in the 2021 Seminole County Hog Show

The annual Donalsonville-Seminole County Chamber of Commerce Market Hog Show was held Saturday, February 13 at the Seminole County Ag Center on Town and Country Road south of town. Thirty-six FFA, 4-H and pre-club members exhibited fifty-nine hogs at the show. Barrows and Gilts were shown in separate classes, a Grand and Reserve Champion of each gender was selected, and from those Grand Champions a Supreme Champion was chosen. 

The Judge for the show was Cody Reichart of New Richmond, Indiana.

The Supreme Champion of the Show was also the Grand Champion Gilt shown by Elizabeth Ausley. Elizabeth’s Class 7 winner is a hamp markings gilt weighing 229 pounds. Elizabeth is the daughter of Bob and Renee Ausley

The Reserve Champion Gilt was shown by Ethan Ausley, son of Bob and Renee Ausley. His white with blue butt and head gilt weighed 229 pounds.   

The Grand Champion Barrow, a hamp markings weighing 259 pounds, was shown by Meg Mathis. Meg is the daughter of Andy and Nicki Mathis.

The Reserve Champion Barrow, a hamp markings barrow, weighed 264 pounds was shown by Cleve Cofty. Cleve is the son of Lynn Cofty.

The Austin Brackin Sportsmanship Award was presented to Ashley Womack.

 The Larry Jr. and Brent Fennell Scholarship Award sponsored by the Donalsonville/Seminole County Chamber of Commerce went to Jad Deal.

The Ira “Buddy” Lee Senior Showmanship Award was presented by Bryan Lee and Glenn Lee  to first place Senior Showmanship winner Elizabeth Ausley.

The Calvin Atkinson Outstanding Up & Coming Show Team Member award, sponsored by Calvin Atkinson’s Family, was presented to Kash Dennis.
