Tony Spraker has been promoted by Georgia-Pacific to lead the Cedar Springs Containerboard operations as vice president and general manager. Spraker began his new duties January 18.
Over Spraker’s successful 31-year career in paper manufacturing, he has held various roles of increasing responsibility in utilities, maintenance, and paper areas in employment with Westvaco and MeadWestvaco (now WestRock) as well as with Georgia-Pacific at facilities in Big Island, VA and Brewton, AL. Most recently he served as plant manager for GP’s Memphis Cellulose operations.
A Virginia native, Spraker earned his B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech. He and his wife Jennifer are relocating to the Dothan area. They have three adult children.
