The Firehouse Steak Cookoff, a Steak Cookoff Association sanctioned event, is set for this Saturday, March 27, in the community’s barbecue cookoff area adjacent to the Donalsonville Fire Department on North Tennille Avenue. As of today twenty-two steak cooking teams are registered for the event and three of the teams have signed up to compete in the event’s Dessert Ancillary.

“We have plenty of room for even more cooking teams, but the time to get registered is closing fast because we have to order steaks soon and we need an accurate count,” commented event organizer Virginia Harrison. If you think your steak cooking talent is at competition level, go to steakcook-offs.com and get signed up to compete today. Entry fees for Steak A is $150, for Steak A&B, $300, and $25 for the dessert competition.

The Steak Cookoff Association is the largest and fastest growing Association exclusively for grilling contests. They sanction steak cookoffs and provide judges for grilling contests worldwide. The annual membership fee for individuals is $40.00 per year.

First through tenth places will be awarded in Donalsonville’s Firehouse Steak Cookoff competition and fort, second and thirds will be awarded in the dessert division.

Camping sites with water and electric hook-ups are available, and if you need a place to stay off site, contact Harrison directly at 229-400-3772.
