Johnelle Simpson begins his next chapter as a lawyer

Seminole County Middle High School, and University of Georgia Alumus Johnelle Simpson graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law on May 7, 2021.  

During his time at the College of Law, Simpson served as the President of the Student Bar Association, member of the University of Tennessee-Knoxville Campus Advisory Committee, Symposium Editor for the Tennessee Journal of Race, Gender, and Social Justice, Staff Editor for Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law, member of the Dean’s Advisory Council, and Events and Community Service Chair for the Black Law Student Association.  

During his time at UOT Simpson was awarded the Gen. Clifton Cates Leadership Scholarship, Dean Doug Blaze Leadership Scholarship, Honorable Penny White Scholarship,  Judge Houston M. Goddard Award, William Leech Public Service Award, Roy BJ Campbelle Leadership Award, and Outstanding Graduate/Professional Student Award.

Simpson will sit for the Georgia Bar Exam in July.  He will begin working with the litigation department at Fortson, Bentley, and Griffin, P.A. in September.

Johnelle is the son of Twynette Reyonolds and Johnell Simpson of Donalsonville.
