Graduation exercises for Southwest Georgia Academy’s Class of 2021 are set for Thursday, May 20 at 8 p.m. in the Wayne Proffitt, Jr. Gymnasium. Honor Graduates will consist of fifteen members of the graduating class.
Using the traditional marches for the processional and recessional, graduates will participate in a very formal program honoring this special event under the direction of Mrs. Harold Thomas Gordon, Jr., including the direction of the “Alma Mater” at the end of the program.
Main speeches will be given by the top three honor graduates, and the fourth honor graduate will be giving the farewell speech at the end of the ceremony.
After a presentation of the class, Matthew Trigg Dalrymple, Head of School, will present special awards. John Franklin Godwin, Assistant Headmaster and Counselor, will assist with the presentation of special awards and other recognitions. Dalrymple and Mr. Stacy Tabb Cooper, Chairman of the SGA Board of Directors, will present diplomas.
