On Friday, July 2nd, the winners of the Future Business Leaders of America National Leadership Conference were announced, and Seminole County Middle High School FBLA’s own Will Pace was on the winner’s list for the job interview competition. “This year’s competitions have been quite different, to say the least. Because of COVID-19 safety guidelines all conferences and competitions have been virtual, making each competition much more stressful and rigorous than usual,” commented Seminole County FBLA advisor Kathryn Touchton.
However, nothing seemed to negatively affect Will Pace’s poise and performance. He mastered the competition and won at the regional and state level with almost perfect job interview scoring, and last Friday he impressed and flattered the national judges and was awarded second place in the entire country.
Will has also been elected as a Georgia FBLA State Officer for the upcoming school year and has already begun working with a prestigious panel of students from schools all around the state. Touchton added, “Will is just an overall exceptional student and I honestly was not surprised at all when his name was announced as second in the nation. I am so excited about advising him this upcoming year as a Georgia State Officer and am thrilled the entire club will get to experience this with him”.
Will is an upcoming Senior at Seminole County Middle High School. He is the son of Wes Pace and John and Mandy Buckhaulter.
