Public hearings set to discuss closing of school facilities

The Seminole County Board of Education will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, September 13, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Seminole County Board of Education meeting room, located in the board offices facility a 203 East Sixth Street in Donalsonville. 

The meeting, one of two required public hearings, is being held to discuss closing the county’s two current schools, Seminole Middle High School and Seminole County Elementary School, after the construction of the new Pre-K- 12 school. A second meeting will be held on October 18 at 6 p.m. in the same location. 

Both meetings are open to the public and are required in O.C.G.A. 20-2-260 prior  to the closing of the facilities.
