Harvest Festival still on for Saturday, October 16th
The Donalsonville-Seminole County Chamber of Commerce announced this week that plans are still alive for the staging of the community’s annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 16th. After a few years of cancellations, the chamber hopes to bring back the festival better than ever. As of this week, plans have it starting with the annual running of the Rejoice Run & Mom’s Mile, followed by the parade, local entertainment, and musician Eli Moseley as the event’s main entertainment. Arts and crafts vendors, a fine art show, a recipe contest, food vendors, kids entertainment and more are also planned.
If you are interested in participating in the parade, reserving a booth, or entering a contest call the Chamber at 229- 524-2588 or fill out the forms available on the chamber’s website at www.donalsonville-seminole.org
“We are still looking for sponsors for the event, so if your business is interested, let the Chamber know and we can send out a form,” Commented Chamber President Sarah Avery.
The chamber continues to monitor the number COVID-19 cases in the area and will keep the community informed with updates and status reports in the Donalsonville News and on its website as the date of the festival nears.
