Fall into Reading in downtown Donalsonville

Now through November 30th

To celebrate National Literacy Month in November, Seminole County Family Connection presents “Fall into Reading” a community literacy event beginning in downtown Donalsonville this week and continuing through Tuesday, November 30th.

Pages from the book Bear Says Thanks by Karma Wilson will be on display in nine downtown businesses. Families will have the opportunity to read the book together as well as enjoy a walk throughout downtown.

The book reading event begins with the first page on display in the window of Georgia Community Bank, followed by pages on display at Honey Bee Boutique, Front Porch Marketplace, Chamber of Commerce, Signs and Stuff, Pearlie’s Boutique, Olive Theatre, and Leon’s Cleaners and ends at the Donalsonville News.

The first 50 families that complete the Fall into Reading event will receive a copy of the book Bear Stays Up for Christmas by Karma Wilson. Once the walk and read is finished families are requested to scan a displayed QR code with a phone and complete a short form online. The QR code will be available for scanning at the Donalsonville News.
