The sign up period to apply to shop for the holidays at the Beth Capuson Christmas Store will begin Monday, November 29. Applications will be accepted Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. through December 9 in the Friendship United Methodist Church’s office at 305 South Woolfork Avenue in Donalsonville.
The first sixty families to complete applications will be allowed to shop Friday, December 10, or Saturday, December 11 at an assigned time. All applicants applying will need to provide proof of Seminole County residency, proof that the children live in their household and are of fifth grade age or younger.
Shoppers will be able to purchase great toys, bikes, pajamas or jackets – all available at a substantially reduced cost.
The store, along with its mission of opening annually for those in need in the community during the holiday season, is in memory of Beth Capuson, former Seminole County Family Connection Coordinator and Friendship United Methodist Church Family and Children’s Coordinator.
Beth’s vision was that no child would go without something special on Christmas morning, and family members would be encouraged and blessed with the opportunity to purchase and provide those gifts.
