DDA to begin Veteran banner campaign to salute Seminole County’s military heroes

The Downtown Donalsonville Development Authority (DDA) has announced a campaign to spotlight and salute Seminole County’s military veterans in a grand way. The plan is to hang colorful banners, each spotlighting a local Veteran, their branch of service and the years served, on the lampposts throughout downtown Donalsonville.

The banners, similar to the one pictured here, can be purchased for a cost of $150. All interested Veterans, or friends and family members of local Veterans, are invited and encouraged to participate in the campaign.

To place an order and purchase a personalized banner all you have to do is deliver a photo, the name of the Veteran, branch of service and years served to Signs and Stuff located at 130 East Second Street in downtown Donalsonville. For questions or additional information you can call them at (229) 309-3799.

The initial plan of the DDA is to have as many banners as possible in place and waving in all their glory from downtown’s lampposts by May, the month of Memorial Day. Going forward plans are to fly the banners each year saluting our local military heroes for Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and Veterans Day.
