Make a splash in the library’s Summer reading program

The Southwest Georgia Regional Library is thrilled to announce its partnership with Page Turner Adventures, the Emmy-Award Winning team of Jill Nadler and Kenny Mikey, known for bringing stories to life with their comedic approach at libraries, schools and theaters across the world to bring summer reading to the ocean floor!  Beginning Monday, June 6th, the Southwest Georgia Regional Library is giving Seminole County patrons access to a Virtual Summer Reading Program geared towards children in grades K-3 that includes comedy shows, crafts, recipes, children’s book author interviews, guest performers, contests, games, and much more.

The Ocean Adventures Summer Reading Program is based on the intrepid Storyologist, Page Turner (Nadler) and Kenny, her slap-stick sidekick. Viewers are transformed into Storyologists when they join Page Turner and Kenny on an epic, interactive quest to discover the Lost Library of Atlantis. Along the way, they explore Coral Reefs, The Bermuda Triangle, Arctic Waters, and the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Filled with fascinating facts and fabulous fiction, this Four-Part Adventure is designed to educate kids about our oceans while inspiring them to read books AND visit the library.

Access to programming can be acquired through the Southwest Georgia Regional Library system’s Beanstack App.  To join in on the fun, download the app and register! You can also visit the Seminole County Public Library for assistance in registering. More information can be found at swgrl.org/srp, or by calling 229-524-2665.

The Page Turner Summer 2022 is different than the Summer Reading Challenge in Beanstack, so make sure you register for both. Track your reading in the challenge to earn prizes and enter to win an Amazon Fire Tablet at the end of Summer.
