Patty the cow has arrived and the pumpkins are on their way

It’s Fall, y’all, and one of the rights of the season – Patty’s Pumpkin Patch –  is now open in Ponders’ Corner located at the corner of Tennille Avenue and Highway 84 in downtown Donalsonville. The annual fundraiser event, coordinated by Seminole County Family Connection, and the Friendship House of Jesus, will remain open through October 28th for you to stop by and pick out some colorful pumpkins for your Fall decor, and snap a photo with Patty, the patch’s favorite cow. Each pumpkin will be priced and there will be a secure money dropbox on site.

The patch’s hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m..

The third annual Scarecrow Decorating Contest will be held on Wednesday, October 6th. The cost to purchase a scarecrow frame to create your straw-filled masterpiece is $50 per business or $25 for clubs.

Proceeds from the pumpkin patch and the scarecrow contest benefit Family Connection and Friendship House of Jesus. For more information or to sign up, contact Billie McLendon at 229-309-0531.

Seminole County Family Connection and Friendship House of Jesus are excited to team together to stage the annual Patty’s Pumpkin Patch. Each year both non-profit organizations work together to raise funds for programs that directly benefit and positively impact children in Seminole County.
