SCWC’s Tree of Hope luminaries on sale each Saturday in November at Piggly Wiggly

During the month of November Seminole County Boy Scout Troop 700 members, along with volunteers from First Port City Bank and SWGA Health Clinics, will begin selling luminaries for the Seminole County Warpath on Cancer (SCWC) Tree of Hope project.

This Saturday, November 12th, Seminole County Boy Scouts will be set up in front of the Donalsonville Piggly Wiggly from 8 a.m. until 12 noon. First Port City Bank employees will be there selling luminaries on November 19, and SWGA Health Clinics’ employees on November 26.

Luminaries may be purchased for $5 each in honor of or in memory of loved ones.

All proceeds from the sale of the luminaries  will go to support SCWC’s  efforts to assist cancer patients right here in Seminole County.

The Seminole County Warpath on Cancer cross lighting ceremony will be held this year immediately after the Donalsonville Christmas parade on Thursday, December 1st. The ceremony will be held at Ponder’s Corner  located at the corner of Tennille Avenue and U.S. Highway 84 in downtown Donalsonville. Cancer survivor Buck Goodwin will be lighting the cross this year.
