At the regularly scheduled Seminole County Board of Education Meeting held on March 6, District 5 Board Member Les Robinson gave the board his letter of resignation. In his letter, Robinson stated, “Due to recent health problems, I cannot continue to represent the citizens of District 5.”
Robinson, recently elected for his fourth term on the board in November, is very proud of his years of service. Also, in his letter, he challenged his fellow board members, “Our schools are improving so much; please continue to do great things for our students, teachers, and support staff.”
Seminole County School Superintendent Mark Earnest and the members of the Board offered these words on Robinson’s decision, “Les Robinson has been a model school board member, never missing a meeting. He always put the students first in any decision made by the board. We are going to miss him, and we appreciate his service to Seminole County Schools.”
