Lakeside Festival and Team Bass Tournament set for Saturday, May 6th

Plans are being finalized by festival and tournament organizers for the first annual Lakeside Festival and Team Bass Tournament to be held on Saturday, May 6. This free to attend event will be held at Reynolds Landing Park on Lake Seminole.
Organizers plan for this to become an annual Springtime event.
Tournament and festival organizers invite the community to come out for a day of food, fun and fishing. During the tournament outdoor activities, food booths and arts and craft vendors will be available for festival attendees to enjoy.
The team bass tournament will begin at safe daylight and continue until 3 p.m. There is a $200 team entry fee and a three fish limit. The tournament’s first place winner is guaranteed $3,000 and the catcher of the big fish will reel in $500.
The tournament is being organized and directed by
Tommy King, a bass fisherman with sixty years of experience and 47 bass tournament wins. He has competed in tournaments in Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee.
King worked with B.A.S.S. and F/W tournaments, was tournament director for the Jack Wingate Open, served for twenty years on the Decatur County Chamber of Commerce Bass Committee, has tournament wins on Lakes Jackson, Seminole and Talquin and was tournament points champion on the Georgia-Florida Bass Trail as well as on the Westside Team Trail.
