Diamond Indians open state playoffs Thursday with double header

The Region Champion Seminole County baseball Indians will open the first round of the Class A Georgia High School Association state playoffs at home today, Thursday, April 27th with a double header beginning at 4 p.m. The Indians, the #1 seed from Region 1, will host Echols County, the number four seed from Region 2. If a third game is necessary it will be played at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 28th.

The Diamond Indians are 18-10 overall, and 14-2 Region 1 champs after completing a difficult and demanding schedule if you look at who we have played. 

Coach Dirk Williams commented, “The players have worked hard and responded well to the challenge of the schedule and they understand the reasoning behind it. We are very excited about hosting the first round. What a good group of young men and coaches.”
