The 2023 Seminole County Farm Tour is scheduled for Wednesday, June 28, beginning at the Seminole County Agriculture Center, 3041 Town and Country Road, with sign-in from 8:00 – 8:30 a.m. EST. Pre-Registration for the tour is required.
After opening remarks, the tour will visit the Thompson Cattle Operation and hear from Deron Rehberg, SWD Area Livestock Agent, then travel to Mims Grain Drying and Storage Facility, and also visit adjacent peanut field. Tour attendees will then hear from Grain Broker Mark Spooner.
The final stop for the day will be at the Donalsonville Airport at the UGA Weather Station where attendees will hear from Pam Knox, Director of the UGA Weather Network
Closing remarks will end the tour back at the Seminole County Ag Center.
This will be a great tour and will include breakfast, refreshments along the way, and a bag lunch provided by our local sponsors during the tour.
Although this is a free event, registration is required for preparations in transportation by bus and food arrangements. The deadline for registration will be 5:00 p.m. on June 23.
