Have you voted? Three days remain to vote your choice

Counting today, November 1, Donalsonville, Iron City and Seminole County voters have three days remaining  to cast a vote in the Tuesday, November 7th election Advance voting continues at the Seminole County Courthouse weekdays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. today, Thursday, November 2 and Friday, November 3. The final opportunity to vote will be on Election Day, Tuesday, November 7 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. in your voting precinct.

So far, voter turnout remains low. As of presstime on Wednesday, November 1, only 102 advance in person votes had been cast, and eight absentee ballots had been requested, of which five have been returned. 

There is only one contested race on the ballot in this election. Incumbent City of Donalsonville Council Person Mitchell Blanks qualified for re-election to the District Two, Post 5 seat; and is challenged for the seat by Lillian Harris who also qualified for the District Two, Post 5 seat.

Incumbent City of Donalsonville Council Person Travis Brooks qualified for re-election to the District One, Post 2 seat, and is running unopposed.

In the Town of Iron City offices up for re-election are the Office of Mayor, currently held by Ronnie Ingram, Council Post 1, currently represented by Zack Conoly, and Council Post 3, currently represented by John Gray.

Incumbent Mayor Ingram and Post 3 Incumbent Council Person Gray chose not to run for re-election.

Conoly, current Council Person representing Post 1 qualified to run for the Office of Mayor. He is  running unopposed.

Laura Croom and Kevin Lovering qualified to run for Council Person Post 1 and Council Person Post 3, and both are running unopposed.

Georgia’s widely accessible voting procedures permit a Georgia voter to vote by mail for any reason.
