Seminole County Middle High School students recently returned from their second visit to Berufliche Schulen Schönbrunn (Schönbrunn Vocational Schools) in Landshut, Bavaria. Landshut is a city straddling the River Isar in Bavaria, southern Germany.
What began in 2022 as virtual meetings has grown into a meaningful exchange focused on agriculture, sustainability, and cultural understanding.
Highlights of the trip included planting cover crops with German agriculture students, cooking in the culinary department, and creating eco-friendly shopping bags. Students also visited the Lohengrinwiese Nature Reserve, participated in sports activities, and explored iconic sites like the Zugspitze, Lake Eibsee, Regensburg, Trausnitz Castle, and Dachau Memorial.
The exchange has fostered lasting friendships and unforgettable experiences. It has become an important part of Seminole County’s CTAE program — with hopes to continue for years to come.
A sincere and special thanks from the group goes out to the German hosts for their warm hospitality!
