SCMHS Class of 2026 Honor Grads announced

Seminole County Middle High School Seniors are set to receive their diplomas at the Seminole County Middle/High School Class of 2026 Graduation and Commencement Program to be held at the Jesse McLeod Gymnasium beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 22. The doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and will close at 7:20 p.m. All guests must have a ticket to enter
Christian Albritton has been named Valedictorian of the Seminole County High School Class of 2026. Christian is the son of Wilton and Kristi Albritton. He is an active member of the National Honor Society and has been awarded the Georgia Certificate of Merit. He served as a Junior Marshal and represented Seminole County High School at the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Conference in the Summer of 2024. He has been a member of Seminole County FFA for six years where he has held several offices, including Sentinel, Conductor, and currently Vice President. Through FFA, he has earned his Discovery, Greenhand, Chapter, and State Degrees. He has also been involved in 4-H for nine years. Christian has served as Student Council Vice President and is a member of the Superintendent’s Advisory Council. A four-year member of the varsity baseball team, he primarily played first base and was recognized each year as an athletic scholar.
Christian plans to attend Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, where he will major in Agricultural Business.
Buck Edmunds has been named Salutatorian of the Seminole County High School Class of 2026. Buck is the son of Hugh Justin Edmunds and Chasity Drummer. He has been an active member of the school’s Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter for five years. During that time, he has competed in several events, including welding and wiring competitions. He has participated in the FFA Leadership Program, where he was also selected to participate in the school’s German Exchange Program.
Buck plans to attend Georgia Southern University, where he will major in Mechanical Engineering.
Honor Graduates
Honor graduates are those students who have maintained at least a 90 cumulative grade point average throughout their high school years. The student with the highest overall grade point average for the graduating class is named the Class Valedictorian, and the student with the second highest grade point average is the Class Salutatorian. Students who earn a 97 – 100 grade point average receive Superintendent’s honors, students who earn a 93 – 96 grade point average receive Principal’s honors and students who earn a 90 – 92 grade point average receive honors.

Receiving Principal’s Honors are Matisyn Breeden, Mackenzie Brown, Jada Coachman, Kelly Currin, Kailee Elijah, Laekyn Enfinger, Jolie Grand, Aaron Guy, Jason Holt, Dillon James, Deanna Kimble, Megan Mathis, Emily McGee, Shalauna Myrick, Hillary Roberts, Kerstyn Roberts, Landon Thompson, Naithan Watson, and Hanna West.
