Santa Claus’ arrival, the Spirit of Christmas Parade and the Seminole County Warpath on Cancer’s tree lighting ceremony are all happening in downtown Donalsonville this evening, Thursday December 3rd. The annual Spirit of Christmas parade and the jolly elf himself will roll into town at 6 p.m. Lineup for the parade begins at 5 p.m. at the Seminole County Elementary School.

Once the parade begins, it will travel north on Wiley Avenue, cross over U.S. Highway 84 and then turn east and continue through downtown along on Second Avenue. Food vendors will be located along Second Street.

Santa will be available to pose for photos before the parade from 4 to 5:30 p.m.. He will be set up on the sidewalk in front of Signs and Stuff on Second Street.

Again this year, the lighting of the Seminole County Warpath on Cancer’s Tree of Hope will be on the corner of Tennille Avenue and U.S. Highway 84. Immediately after the parade, the Seminole Singers will perform and the lighting ceremony will follow. The tree will be lit this year by cancer survivor Valda Roberts.

Bundle up, bring the whole family and make an It’s a Wonderful Life night of it in Donalsonville. COVID-19 safety precautions will be in place and all attendees will be encouraged to wear masks.
