Calling all artists! Fall Fine Arts Show to open on Harvest Festival Saturday (Oct. 16)

After three years of postponements and cancellations, the community’s Harvest Festival and the Fall Fine Arts Show are scheduled to return this October. The Fine Arts Show is scheduled to open on the day of the Harvest Festival, Saturday, October 16, in the historic firehouse complex on Woolfork Avenue. And again, just like in years past, the show will not close when the festival ends. Art will remain on display and the show will be open for viewing to the public during a pre-set Fall schedule through the month of November.

The show and sale will feature the works of local artists in Seminole County and surrounding counties in the categories of paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography and mixed media. Each category will be judged in the adult division – 18 and older and children division – ages 12-17 and 11 and under. Special awards will be given for best of show, peoples’ choice and best harvest-related themed entry. All local artists are encouraged to participate.

The deadline for submission of applications to be in the show is October 8. Artist applications and the show’s rules and regulations are available at the Donalsonville-Seminole County Chamber of Commerce located at 122 East Second Street and at the Donalsonville News on Cherry Street in downtown Donalsonville.

For additional information contact the chamber at 229-524-2588 or David Maxwell at the Donalsonville News at 229-524-2343 or david@donalsonvillenews.com.
