The Donalsonville-Seminole County Chamber of Commerce’s annual Boots & Roots Rodeo has a new home. At last Thursday’s meeting of the Development Authority of Seminole County and Donalsonville a motion was made and unanimously approved to grant the chamber permission to stage this year’s rodeo event on property located within the authority’s new Industrial Park East. The park is located just east of Donalsonville off Ash Crossing Road, and north of U.S. Highway 84.
The best positioning on the property of the arena, bleachers, vendor spaces, participants’ staging area, and parking will be determined by Justin Thigpen of the T-T Rodeo Company and the chamber.
So mark your calendar for Friday and Saturday, March 18 and 19 and get ready to kick up some dust and experience the return of a professional rodeo right here in Seminole County.
In the meantime, how about signing up and joining the rodeo’s sponsorship team? The chamber’s mission in annually staging a quality rodeo event in Seminole County has three objectives: to provide a first class family-oriented event for the enjoyment of the citizens of Seminole County, to salute Seminole County farmers and agri-businesses and to operate as an annual fund raising vehicle. Profits from each year’s two-day rodeo event finance future community projects of the chamber and a percentage of the profits will be donated to the youth organizations of the community.
Businesses and individuals are invited to become a sponsor at the following levels: Gold Partner – $2,500; Silver Partner – $1,500; Event Partner – $750; Chute Gate Partner – $500; Banner Partner – $350 and Friends of the Rodeo -$100.
Tickets will be sold at the gate each night of the event and will be on sale at the chamber, the Donalsonville News and various locations beginning March 1.
A sponsorship form can be found on page 9 in this edition.
