Rodeo rescheduled for April 29 and 30
Due to the potential of inclement weather conditions Friday, and possibly Saturday, March 18 and 19, the Donalsonville-Seminole County Chamber of Commerce 2022 Boots & Roots Rodeo has been rescheduled to April 29th and 30th. This rescheduled event will be held on property within Seminole County’s Industrial Park East, located just east of Donalsonville’s Friendship Cemetery on 2841 Ash Crossing Road. Three Notch EMC completed the installation of the arena’s lighting this week and work will continue on the site in preparation for the end of April event.
“Super wet grounds at this year’s new location and the possibility of stormy conditions made having the event this weekend too much of a risk for the volunteers, animals, and all involved,” commented Chamber of Commerce President Sarah Avery.
Tickets remain on sale and all previously purchased tickets will be honored. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for kids ages six to twelve. Children five and under will be admitted at no charge. Tickets are now on sale at Ameris Bank, Big Jim’s “R” Country Cafe, Chamber of Commerce, Donalsonville News, First State Bank, First Port City Bank, Georgia Community Bank, Lake Seminole Outdoors, PeoplesSouth Bank, and Southern Wind Farm Supply.
So, mark your calendars for the new dates of April 29 and 30 and T-T Rodeo Company’s action packed event. Cowboys and cowgirls will compete in eight of the world’s most action packed events which include bareback riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, cowgirls break away roping, saddle bronc riding, team roping, cowgirls barrel racing, and the ever exciting bull riding.
