Boots & Roots Rodeo set for April 29, 30

The Donalsonville-Seminole County Chamber of Commerce’s annual Boots & Roots Rodeo is just eight short days away. So mark your calendar for Friday and Saturday, April 29 and 30 and get ready to kick up some dust and experience a professional rodeo right here in Seminole County. Gates open at 6 p.m. both nights and the rodeo begins at 7:30. 

This year the annual event will be held in a new location, and staged on property within Seminole County’s Industrial Park East, located just east of Donalsonville’s Friendship Cemetery at 2841 Ash Crossing Road. 

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for kids ages six to twelve. Children five and under will be admitted at no charge.  Tickets are now on sale at Ameris Bank, Big Jim’s “R” Country Cafe, Chamber of Commerce, Donalsonville News, First State Bank, First Port City Bank, Georgia Community Bank, Lake Seminole Outdoors, PeoplesSouth Bank, and Southern Wind Farm Supply.

Cowboys and cowgirls will compete in eight of the world’s most action packed events which include bareback riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, cowgirls break away roping, saddle bronc riding, team roping, cowgirls barrel racing, and the ever exciting bull riding.  

There will be plenty of pre-game rodeo activities for the whole family, with food and drink concessions and novelties available.

Businesses and individuals can still sign up to be sponsor at the following levels: Gold Partner – $2,500; Silver Partner – $1,500; Event Partner – $750; Chute Gate Partner – $500; Banner Partner – $350 and Friends of the Rodeo -$100.
