SWGA Farm Credit becomes a $5,000 Stewards of Lake Seminole supporter

Southwest Georgia Farm Credit presented a $5,000 check to Steve Dickman, founder and president of the Stewards of Lake Seminole, a group dedicated to preserving the health of the lake. Pictured above with Mr. Dickman are Association employees Vic Hunter, Wendi Newberry, Kayla Johnson, Mandy Johnson and Dee Dow. Southwest Georgia Farm Credit supports the mission of the Stewards of Lake Seminole and its commitment to work collaboratively for the benefit of property owners on Lake Seminole, bordering communities, recreationalists and local businesses. 

The mission of the Stewards of Lake Seminole is to secure funding as a 501(c) (3) nonprofit, to manage invasive species on Lake Seminole, in a collaborative but timely manner with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), for the benefit of the Lake Seminole stakeholders.  

Stewards of Lake Seminole’s  goal is to raise $250,000.00 by April 1st, 2023, to fund its collaborative efforts. Community support in meeting this goal is imperative to pave the way for larger funding from other sources.
