SCMHS One Act Players win Region Title

Five schools throughout the region traveled to Seminole County Middle High School on Saturday, November 1st to perform and compete for Region One Act Play Champion.
Seminole County High One Act Players performed “Hairspray” and their performance won the coveted region championship prize.
Milan Richardson won Best Actress in the Region, plus All-Star Cast member. Bryce Register won Best Supporting Actor and All-Star Cast member.
The show was directed by Seminole chorus and drama teacher Maribeth Burke and choreographed by Persnickety’s Mindy Strickland. Sound specialist was Seminole Green Machine teacher Chelsea Willis.
The team will now make plans to travel to Harris County High School, near Columbus, Georgia to compete for State One Act Play.
To give the community the opportunity to see the talents actors in action The One Act Players will perform “Hairspray” for the public on Saturday, December 6 and Sunday, December 7 at the Seminole County Middle High School. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10 for adults and $5 for students.
